We will explore the ORGANISATIONAL, PHYSICAL, TECHNOLOGICAL & METHODOLOGICAL perspectives of these collaborative working environments. The project will describe best practice, critical success factors, and opportunities for practical collaboration for these dimensions, and provide insights into how Future Centers and other kinds of collaborative working environments can mutually benefit from each other’s expertise and technologies.

Special attention will be paid to how human factors and the organisation of work processes enhance user-centricity and the ability of people to collaborate across distance, content areas, and national cultures.

TECHNOLOGICAL PERSPECTIVE
How can advanced information technologies assist in enhancing the impact of Future Centers (e.g. through creating and linking virtual FCs)?

ORGANIZATIONAL PERSPECTIVE
How do organisations establish, run and improve FCs? How can they integrate FC concepts into organisation strategy and structure? How does an organisation create value through Future Centers?

PHYSICAL PERSPECTIVE
How does the physical design of a Future Center impact innovation and collaboration capabilities?

METHODOLOGICAL PERSPECTIVE
Which facilitation and thinking tools can be used in future-oriented CWEs to enhance collaboration, future orientation, out-of-the-box thinking and "from-ideas-to-action" processes?
